The Peruvian weather gods must have heard my lamentation. Hardly had we set foot ashore when the dark clouds vanished like frost under the morning sun, giving way to picture-perfect weather for our first off road drive through the truly picturesque Paracas reserve.
We spent a lovely afternoon cruising through the deserted reserve, and enjoyed ultra fresh camarones con parmesano (fished from the sea right in front of us!), in the company of some lazy pelicans taking a nap in the afternoon sun.
"Just a perfect day..." Apart from a red clown's nose at the end: well-deserved revenge from the weather gods :)
